The Game

The Carte Privée game is now in near-complete playable form. Nominated Contributors may experience the current build as part of the establishment process. Every game image reproduced in this publication has been captured directly from the playable build.

The game is the participatory expression of the Archive. Players encounter Representative Contributions through their objects, meanings and gameplay expressions, building a personal relationship with the Founding Collection through repeated play.

The Archive preserves enduring human contributions together with the knowledge required to understand why they matter. Carte Privée employs play as its primary method of participation, allowing that knowledge to be encountered, applied and remembered. Through play, knowledge develops into appreciation and, over time, stewardship.
