This publication introduces the purpose of Carte Privée and the role of participation within the institution. The Archive exists to preserve representative human contributions by preserving the knowledge required to understand why they matter. Rather than relying on observation alone, Carte Privée employs play as its primary method of participation, allowing knowledge to develop into appreciation and appreciation into stewardship.
